2011 GGW Events No. 8, 9, 10 and 11
It’s been four weeks since we’ve recapped stats and events for you Golfers Gone Wild. Four weeks of different courses, different weather, and different GGW Tour Winners.
Over the past four weeks, we’ve held the 8th GGW Tour Event in Lemont, where Eddie was Steady through Rain and Slog at Cog Hill No.3. Eddie won with a net 65.
We met in Beecher, Illinois on Memorial Day for the 9th GGW Tour Event, where Cadillac Credits his Competition for the Championship at Cardinal Creek. Nate won with a net 68.
GGW got rained out after 16 holes at Sherwood in Schererville the week of June 4.
The next weekend, we went back to Indiana to play the 10th Tour Event in Merrillville, but Way Cool was Just Way Too Hot for the GGW at Turkey Creek. Wayne won with a net 67.
And on June 18, the Tour stopped in Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park for the 11th GGW Event, where Silent Assassin Showed Us Who’s Your Daddy on Father’s Day Weekend.
With the wins spread out, this means that Quick Draw, already with three wins and two seconds and a third place finish, is leader for Player of the Year Honors. Perry has accumulated more than 43,000 GGW Points and leads his closet challenger Steady Eddie by more than 15,000. Quick Draw is also on top of the GGW Money List with $325 won so far this season.
Steady Eddie is the GGW Skins Leader with 35 this season. Mixson has taken over the top spot from TaylorMade Kid who has 32 even though he’s been Missing-In-Action for over a month.
Bigg Dogg leads the Random Match Play Competition with a record of 13-4-0. Match Play Competitors with winning records through 11 weeks are:
W- L-T Win%
With four different Event winners over the last four weeks this now means that 7 of 17 Golfers Gone Wild, have won at least one event during the 2011 season. Now we all know not everybody is cut out to be a winner. We’re 1/3 way through the season. The pressure to play better and win is on. And, this week GGW Tour will be in Hammond, Indiana. You have some good excuses. The Lost Marsh course is always brutal. Two-time defending champion TaylorMade Kid is likely to be back. And I’m sure you’re still “working on some things”.
But, you do not want to go the entire season without a win, do you? Don’t settle for making your $20 same old sheet donation, week after week. Dare yourself to be Different.
