Bright afternoon sunshine greeted you Golfers Gone Wild at Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park. GGW sanctioned its 12th Tour Event of the 2012 season on Saturday, June 9. Silver Lake has two familiar 18 hole layouts. And now sports a new driving range. You played the par 70 South Course at 5948 yards. As is their standard, the course…

The Hawk soars at Tuckaway
The drive to Tuckaway is a nice scenic excursion down Route 394 and the veering left passing the home that Micheal Jordan purchased as a rookie. Tuckaway is a pleasant course with fast postage stamp greens, and bending fairways. Once there, GGW practiced and prepared for an event the Hawk preyed upon.
Shooting a net 72.4 Hawk devoured the course winning by a margin of almost three full strokes and 4 skins. This is Hawks initial…

NATO leaders arrived in Chicago this weekend bringing protests throughout the area. Unruly mobs took over public parks. Some white supremacists got their skinheads batted around at a Tinley Park restaurant. Chicago Police, always ready to get rough with rabble rousers, kept rowdy crowds in check.

Bowing to our own tradition, Golfers Gone Wild held its Opening Round on Saturday, April 7 at University Park Golf Club.
